Working on my Fitness...

I’ve been talking in different posts about doing things to try and lose a few pounds. In the past I would jump on some type of bandwagon (Atkins, Jenny Craig, etc..) do good for a few days and initially lose interest and Fail.

Fail is such a nasty word; because it’s so preventable, especially if you follow this recipe:

The BF has been using this recipe for the last 6 months and has been rewarded sweetly. Everyday I look at him and I am so impressed and proud of all of his hard work and will power. Getting in shape and becoming healthy is not Easy (I mean if it was, everyone would look like Jake Gyllenhall...see previous post) You can’t help but want to do better for yourself when you see someone everyday making simple changes and reaping the benefits.

Baby, I am so PROUD of you, you’ve been working your butt off to get this far, and I know each day your getting healthier, stronger (and better looking….J/K) Your efforts make me get off my lazy butt and put in that STUPID P90X DVD (because I can’t have you looking better than me, and have some chick trying to steal you, after all the work I’ve put in…Lol)

Can anyone suggest any good songs to workout too...I downloaded a fitness playlist and its full of Heidi Montag (which is kind of ironic...LOL) .

  1. Congrats to your boyf! I know how much hard wrk it takes as I've just lost weight myself. It takes a lot of dedication, you're right!

As for songs, Lady Gaga is always good. And anything with a good beat. :) I don't know what your musical tastes are so I can't really recommend.

  2. WOW!! Congrats to the man. He looks like a completely different person. It is hard work. I've been working on losing some lbs myself. I've cut out all the "bad" foods and started being very active, which my dog appreciates also. Keep it up and you will also see the hard work pay off. :)

  7. P90X is a great program! me & my friends decided to do it together... mind you they're all guys, i was the only chick.. so imagine the competitive testosterones, who talk so much smack, I have to put up with... LOL.. it worked! we were like 3 weeks shy of getting it completed... but I did lose about 10 lbs... that's not even doing the diet it came with... another one that I think works & is sooo much fun is ZUMBA!! have u heard of this one?? I suggest u go check out ur local gym if they're offering a Zumba class & try it... u will sweat like crazy.. u will have a great workout & have fun while doin it... if u r someone who likes dancing, then you will love Zumba...

  9. WOW!! That is one amazing success story! Why are guys so good at setting their mind to something and just *doing* it?? My hubby is like that.

I did the Shred for 30 days and lost 20 lbs. It works if you do it! (then I quit) hehe

    Blessings!

  11. How ironic! My boyfriend and I have been doing something similar. He started the diet that Alton Brown did and in 4 months my boyfriend has lost 40-45 lbs.

I am kind of following his diet but I love food too much. I am proud to say that I went from 241 to 205.

Good songs to work out to. Gwen Stefani.

Good luck and I am know you can do it!!

  12. Congrats to your bf! Haha, I was just telling mine today that if he REALLY wanted to, he could take three months of fitness HIS way (which means heavy emphasis on weight lifting and boxing) and drop the 50 lbs he wants to. For some reason, he's not motivated at all. I'm kinda the same way though. I like my shape, but I DO need to get toned so I'm stocking up on cardio and weight training. Couch to 5k for me at current. Oh, and I second the Zumba recommendation. I took one class at the Y here and it works you good but it's soooooo much fun that you don't mind. :) Gotta get the DVDs! Good luck on the P90X journey!

  13. Wow, your man has really made quite the transformation! Congrats to him, and to you for cheering him on and for setting fitness goals of your own. Don't worry, girl, you'll get where you want to be. As for workout songs, I like to listen to metal! Especially when I'm lifting weights.
