Weekend Recap...

What a post on Sunday….Crazy I know, but since I just finished editing (I sound so Martin Scorsese) my video for Cupcake Wars I decided I would posts a little early.

I finally went and saw “Eclipse".

all I have to say if this movie was on the Lifetime Network and Bella was played by Tori Spelling, people would think Edward was one those overly obsessive boyfriends. (you know what movie I am talking about) I mean the girl couldn’t pee without him handing her the TP to wipe her butt!! Plus, Bella is ALRIGHT…nothing to get all I’m going to risk my family and clan to save this chick…COME ON!!! But the movie was good and there were hardly anypeople in there, so it was even better!!

I won’t lie I’ve been all nerves about recording this video. (which is crazy, because I am a blabber mouth and should have no issues talking anyone's ear off) As usual I waited until the last minute  to start the process had to do about a bizillion takes. (Now, I know why Hollywood actors get paid so much). I kept stumbling all over my words and my Type A personality required PERFECTION. The BF was getting so frustrated, but in the end we finally got enough pieces I was able to splice together something I felt comfortable submitting. So check it out and tell me what you think. (Plus disregard my CHUBBY ARMS…LOL!)

WTF MOMENT....

So, I am still freaking out a little bit but wanted to share my exciting news. Yesterday I came across a blog post about casting for Season 2 of the show Cupcake Wars. I’ve watched the show, and talked much trash about how AWESOME I would be on this show. So I took caution to the wind and sent in my information.

Literally about an hour later, I see some strange number on my cell phone and a voice message. It was the FREAKING casting director from Cupcake Wars. She liked my email and liked the pictures I sent (I mean who could resist this face…LOL) and wanted to chat more about the process. So, I literally almost ran off the road and start screaming in the car. (Imagine this scene from onlookers driving next to me)

I called her back and we talked for about 20 mins, she asked me a ton of questions about Dollface and why I started baking and my business. She said she really liked me, thought I was absolutely adorable and had a great personality. (I’m not making this stuff up people)

The next step is to film a short video for the producers so they can see why I should be picked to star on the show.
Yes…I am still Freaking out!!!

So, right now I am in stage 2 of casting and will keep you updated. I have to film my video over the weekend and will post it on Youtube. I will share the link so you can get a good laugh…LOL!!

I would appreciate your blessings, wishes, magical fairy dust, rain dances…this would be more than a dream come true for me!!

Weekend Recap....

I finally got to see "Toy Story 3" and it was super cute. We lucked out and actually went at a time were there were no kids, so the whole experience was enjoyable. (Plus we had a free movie pass and got a coupon for free popcorn, such a KICK-ASS movie night!!) I highly recommend it if your looking for a fun light movie. I still want to see “Eclipse”, but will wait another week or two to ensure people’s lives are spared!!!

The BF was making fun of my "pose" I always do for my outfit pics, and felt the need to show me....I think I do it WAY better...LOL!

(He is getting so freaking skinny...I so HATE him!!)

I also had an awkward moment when I had to meet up with my ex-husband to exchange some paperwork and got to see his new girlfriend for the first time.  Were not enemies, but we live in different cities, so we have no reason to acknowledge each other lives. I have no desire to EVER go down that road again; it was just weird to see him with someone new. I am just glad that things are getting to the point where I can fully close that chapter of my life. One plus is we got to stop at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants and had the BEST Fajitas ever!!!

For the 4th we didn’t do much….we were lame!! The BF did make my day and bought me the most amazing purse…..Love it so much ( Love him so much more!!)

TGIF...

Its Friday, I'm stuck at work,  I'm Bored and I saw this on one of the millions of random blogs I read throughout the day and thought it was a fun idea. Next February I will be 30 years old…yes the big 3-0.

I know its crazy and silly, but I fear I will be having a mid life crisis and start wearing gold chains and get a convertible or something (I’m already a cougar with the younger man, so that’s checked off the list).

(This will be in less than a year..I know it!!)

So I am while I am still young and in my twenties,  I thought I would make a short list of things I should do before I turn 30.

1. Slap someone back into reality…(I’ve always wanted to be in one of those moments were someone around me is freaking out and I can just slap them to calm them down…ha ha)

2. Learn to walk in high heels. (Me + Heels = A Broken Neck)

3. Delete my MySpace account

(Don't judge...I know you've done that same duckface bathroom pose.)

4. Throw away those size 6 jeans in my closet and FULLY accept that maybe my body never wants to go back to those days.

5. Actually Save money in my Savings Account (such a foreign concept) and stop using it as a piggy bank I break open every time there is a sale at the mall.

6. Cut back on the random amount of crap I buy each month. (But in fairness the crap has gotten to be much higher quality as I’ve gotten older)

7. Start a bar fight (and then immediately bail before the po-po’s come!!)

(See what P90X has done to my GUNS!!)

8. Start a project and actually FOLLOW-THROUGH with it.

9. Start on my Business Plan (and use all that college learning) so Dollface can become a retail location!

10. Be on T.V (preferably with my Top On!!)

I don’t have much time since the year is almost over, so I better get on this list.

Whats Up Wednesday....

I've been sick the last couple of days and was stuck at home in bed the other day, So I have not been very fun or entertaining.

Its been raining like crazy here the last few days and I was actually glad to be stuck at home, I hate driving in the rain, especially here in Texas. People here act like fools when it starts raining and feel the need to drive either insanely slow or ridiculously fast.

I am hoping it doesn’t rain this weekend, I have an agenda of Funnel Cake, Cotton Candy, and FIREWORKS!!!   I love when the carinval comes to town, mainly for the food and people watching. ( you couldn't pay me all the hello stuff in Japan to ride those sketchy rides...no way!!)

On a random side note  how cute is this drawing...

I came across the cutest blog and got her to doodle me...LOL!  Make sure to check out her blog here!

Weekend Recap....

Over the weekend I was able to meet up with Rachel from the Cupcakes Take the Cake Blog and dish a bit about Cupcakes.   She was super friendly and I dropped off some of my special banana and Nutella cupcakes for her to sample.

After the meeting the BF and I made a stop at the mall. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with this Japanese place in the food court called Sarku and I request that we eat there every weekend. (it’s all part of my addictive personality, I tend to find something I really love and then want it ALL the time…the BF can attest to this…LOL)

(I bought these soft rollers from Ross the other day and LOVED how my hair came out with them)

I’ve still yet to see "Toy Story 3", but think while after one is in "Eclipse" this weekend I will go and see it. There is no way in H-E-L-L-o Kitty you will catch me in that movie over the weekend. I love my freedom way to much and know I would be in jail for something dealing with those crowds.

The rest of the weekend we pretty much stayed the BF watching Soccer and I caught up on my new show Drop Dead Diva. We also watched "Its Complicated" with Meryl Streep and Steve Martin, very funny movie.

Also, I am thinking about upgrading my DSLR and wanted to get some recommendations.  Right now I have a Sony and Its a great camera, but need to upgrade to something better.  I have my eye on the Nikon D90, but wanted to get some feedback!!  Thanks!!

Weekend Recap....

Okay, so I am wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy late at getting this posted, especially since a new weekend is shortly coming up. (better late than never)

The BF and I didn’t make it to see “Toy Story 3”, somehow he is the only person on this earth that has not see the rest of the movies (even after I made the comment that its made for little kids, so it can’t possibly have this detailed plot line…LOL) so instead (**EYE ROLL**) we went and saw “Jonah Hex”. The movie was okay and totally confirmed that Megan Fox is a terrible actress.

(Can you believe how little her Freaking waist is.....INSANE!!!)

We also went to a graduation party for a friend I have not seen in years.

It was fun for about 2 mins, but we were quickly over the crowd and expensive drinks, so we slipped out and had my new favorite…FROZEN YOGART. We went to this uber hip place downtown called The Yummy Yo, I liked their stuff way better than the first place we went too.

The rest of the weekend was very laid back, its too darn hot to do anything. We enjoyed Cherry Limeades from Sonic and just stayed in watching movies.

I’ve also become addicted with the show “Drop Dead Diva” . I got it on my Netflix and have been laughing my head off. I highly recommend it!!!

Ps - Check out my other blog posts here!
