Happy 2012...

I really wanted to have this well thought out post to start of 2012, but I don’t.  Life is good right now and I am only hoping in 2012 it will get better.   I have an amazing family, my career goals are getting to where I want them to be and I scored a HELLO KITTY microwave over the weekend….what the HECK could be any better?

New Years Eve was kind of dull for us.  I had to be at work at 5 am so late night partying was totally out of the question.  We stopped by some friends house for a few mins and were in bed by 9...only to be awaken at midnight by cops and fireworks. (YAY US!!) 

This weekend is the Hubs birthday and I am planning something low key and nice for him.  We might shake things up and go to a late night movie (WATCH OUT). As I've gotten older I sometimes think I am missing out on all this extra night life, but when I actually partake I am usually disgusted and ready to go home within the first 5 mins.  Call me lame, but I enjoy being in the saftey and comfort of my own home!

The last couple of weekends we have been in embarking in PRJOECT SPRING CLEANING 2011. Through this project I have learned the following:

1. The boy has the most AMAZING organizational skills.

2. I have MAJOR hoarding tendencies. I laugh at those people on that show, but when I almost had a melt down regarding a hello kitty calendar being thrown away from 2007, I knew I was in TROUBLE.

3. The boy must really LOVE me to go through all my crap.

I am hoping by this upcoming weekend we will be done and we can finally enjoy our weekends again. I did get to sleep in, which was a great, but then I stayed up way to late watching dumb TV (I've come to the realization I am addicted to COPS, and Saved by the Bell still comes on TV, who knew..LOL), so its basically a terrible cycle I have created for myself.

The rest of our long weekend consisted of going to the mall and meeting a HUGE celebrity…

Seeing the Hangover, part II and being SHOCKED and HORRIFED. The movie had its funny moments, but for the most part they spent more time making me cringe than laughing. I am still on the fence if this will be added to the DVD collection. During one scene the boy and I actually looked at each other in pure GROSSMENT (yes I totally made up that word)  at what we were seeing.

Eating yummy tacos from a local hot spot and cathing up on some Netflix movies.  The best thing was actually getting to spend quality time with my love.  Even though we see each other everyday, with our crazy schedules weekends are our saving grace.

Weekend Recap...

Can I be honest, of course I can be honest, it’s my blog!!!

People get on my nerves. Now there are various reasons that people irk me, make my skin crawl, drive me crazy and make me roll my eyes so far back, I fear one day they might get stuck that way.

I can’t stand lazy people, whiny people, ungrateful people, thoughtless people, needy people….OH LORDY,  I could go on for ages, so I better stop. I just want it known…People get on my nerves…LOL!!

Okay, enough of my crazy ranting….on to my wonderful weekend.

We went to dinner and ate WAY too much dessert for two people…(but it was AMAZING and I am so glad we pigged out!!!

Saw Monstrous Strawberries… (According to my caculations that fruit cut out like half the fat from all that dessert...LOL)

Saw lots and lots of Hello Kitty candy ….

Stopped myself from buying huge jars of Nutella (I feared it wouldn’t make it to the car)

Saw a very Cheesy, but cute movie...

Spring break is coming up and even though I will be working I still would love to take a mini-vacay, just to get out of austin.  Plus SXSW will be going on and I don't do all those extra people and the crowds.  Is anyone coming to town for SXSW, just curious?



What the HELL-O Kitty....

This week sucks…no time for posting…or sleeping for that matter. I am working on a 3 DAY final for my Petit Four class. 

Promise things will be back to normal next week.

The "After Glo"...

My birthday is tomorrow (WOOT…WOOT) and I am super excited. Not that every other day is not based around me (LOL), this one the BF doesn’t have an issue with. As much as I wanted to go to Vegas, I was not quite ready to make the plane ride. The trip is not off; just under construction shall we say. This means spending my big day local. I am still off for the next 4 days, so I am going to try and convince the BF to take me to San Antonio. I’ve always wanted to go to the Madame Tussauds’ wax museum, plus there is a Sanrio store up there (so I can get my Hello Kitty on!!) but just being off work for a 4-days is a gift in it self!!!!!

In weight loss news (I’ve been bad on the updating, blame it on my A.D.D) the BF is kicking my butt in that game. Every week he has been losing 3-4 pounds where I am happy to be down 1 every two weeks (but I am not going to lie, I cheat…LOL, I am just waiting for the day I am caught in a skanky hotel having a tryst with a loaf of French bread and a stick of butter) As long as my clothes fit better I still feel like I am meeting my goals.

I also got a ton of stuff from Mark over the last two days and have been pleasantly surprised. I am not keen on the packaging, as all of their stuff is meant to be customized in these palettes you can purchase, but the colors and quality seem cool. I did order two of the same things by accident (which I tend to do …slap on the hand) so I have another freebie to giveaway! Well not so much of as a giveaway, as more of a first person to send me an email or leave a comment to say they want it, it’s theirs!! It’s a blush called “After Glo” and the word on the makeup block is it is a pretty good dupe for NARS’ "Orgasm". Now, I’ve gone to Sephora and stared (and stared) at "Orgasm" (trying to convince myself its okay to spend $26.00 on blush), and it looks pretty close to me.

On a random note, last weekend I saw the “We are the World” video. I knew it was going to be a hot mess when Justin Beiber started the song out. Then 30 minutes later both T-Pain and Lil Wayne show up with their voicecoders…really people. I think I have to agree with Jay-Z, this was a remake that didn’t need to be done. Sometimes, people should just leave well enough alone (hint..hint…people who got the approval to redo the "Karate Kid")

Halloween Costumes!

I received an email this morning with a picture of the cutest Halloween Costume… a costume that was created just for me….wait for it….wait for it… it was a

Hello Kitty Pin-up Costume! I almost died when I saw this costume and thanked the Costume gods for creating something that had to be created just for me. Well I went on a search to find this lovely costume, and guess what, my favorite store was selling them. I cruised over to the Target website and low and behold the costume was there, I clicked on the button to order it and Damn it to Heck, they didn't have my size.

I’ve been searching all morning to find this costume and have had no luck. I did find some other cute Hello Kitty Costumes.

Once again they are all made for girls with no boobs, hips or thighs…which counts me out!!!!!

Now I am sitting here with a major sad face….

oh why oh why, must I be blessed with this amazing Curvaceous body...LOL!!! No worries, I’ve got my sailor thing going on, so it will be all good.

This weekend the BF and I got invites to some fun events going down.

I don’t know which ones were going to check out (its so cold here, I just want to snuggle up in some warm PJ’s and crawl under the covers) but I promise to take lots of pictures to share.

Gifts....

A a friend of mine has been out of town for a few days, and when I saw her today she presented me with some lovely Hello Kitty gifts!!

I've never really discussed this much here, but I am obsessive when it comes to Hello Kitty...and I mean OBESSIVE. I am huge collector of the stuff and before I moved I had a whole room dedicated to nothing but Hello Kitty stuff….

I’ve slowed down a ton, mainly because of space and the fact that I swear I own anything and everything with Hello Kitty on it….from my ice trays, shower head…I even once bought Hello Kitty Maxi Pads (No shame in my HK game…) I’ve had to become selective of the things I add to my collection (Next on my list a Hello Kitty Pink Fender Guitar) and try to think Quality or Quantitiy.

So, that’s where Miss Kitty came from, because everyone who knows me or even meets me is always humored by my love of Hello Kitty. It’s also cool, because whenever people see Hello Kitty stuff they always get me great gifts, which I am always grateful for!!

I've had people make comments (your 28 not 8), but do I care NO...I plan to be a 70 year old blue haired biddy working my hello kitty purse…who says you have to Grow up? I love who I am and the people who are most important to me also love me and would never expect me to change!

MAC says "Hello" to Hello Kitty!!!

Its a new year and this a new blog for me. I thought I would start things out with my excitement regarding a new line I just read about in People Style Watch. MAC Cosmetics will be launching a new line in Feb to inlcude Miss Hello Kitty.

I literally almost peed in my pants when I heard this news. The line is said to be relased Feb 12, 2009, which is six days from my Birthday....this would be a great birthday gift!!!
