Summer Time...

I am so ready for this long Memorial Day weekend!!!! Right now I don’t know what the weekend plans are, but anything is better than sitting in a stuffy office all day. I think it would be nice to jump in the car, pack a picnic and blanket and just drive until you find the perfect spot to soak up the sun. (or in our case the humidity of Texas)

During the drive this will be on the playlist….

1. Katy Perry - "California Gurls"

I love Katy Perry, but was not sure about this song when I first heard it. Now I can stop playing it. I think this is the perfect summer song and makes me want to put on my short shorts, roll up my socks and ROLLAR SKATE!!!

2. Adam Lambert's - "If I Had You"

I am by no means a fan of American Idol and honestly was not a fan of his CD, but when I heard this song you know my Inner Drag Queen came out and I was shaking it like a Polaroid picture (yes, I wrote that, and yes, I know its not 2001)

3. - Enrique Iglesias - "I Like It"

Rumor is this song will be on the Jersey Shore soundtrack...which means if its good enough for my girl Snookie, its good enough for me...HOLLA!!

4. - Pretty Wreckless - "Make me Want to Die"

I am a HUGE fan of girls that rock so this song is right up my alley!! (Plus my eyemakeup will look like this after being in the TEXAS heat...LOL)

5. Shakira - "La Tortura"

Yes this song came out awhile back, (didn't we establish I am living in the past)
but I LOVE LOVE this song and every time I hear it I think I need to learn how to Salsa dance.

I also want to go and either see "Sex and the City 2" or "The Prince of Persia", but that all depends on the anticpated crowds. Oh, ya the BF and I saw "Just Wright" a few weeks ago and it was very cute. If your looking for fun romantic flick I would highly recommend checking this movie out!!

What are you plans for the long weekend?

Graduation Time...

Guess who is officially G-R-A-D-U-A-T-E-D….thats right me!!!! So, I bet your wondering what has been keeping me away from my favorite task of blogging….

Almost two weeks ago I submitted my final paper, which had to be at the minimum 75 pgs (Crazy, I know!!). The good thing is I did my paper on how blogging is changing how we communicate with one another, and I actually found some interesting facts. I think doing my paper on something that was actually interesting made it a little less boring, but me being a slacker with procrastination issues had me working on it until the last minute.

The most stressful thing has been waiting for my FINAL grade to actually be posted (which I finally got today and lets just say I deserve a pat on the back!!!) . So what have I been up to besides twiddling my fingers.

Wearing lots of Pink lipstick...

Going to the Renegade craft fair and buying stuff from Red Velvet Art...

Elsie is super cute in person and I wish I would have asked to take a picture, but was way too shy. ( I know....me shy)

Acting very lady like...

Buying tons of cute crap...

Laughing lots at my silly dog...

Baking Summer Desserts...

(Blackberry Pie Bars)

Its been an exciting and challenging 2 years doing this program and I am thankful its all over. Now its time to plan my next chapter and see whats in store for me. ( I forsee lots of cupcakes, makeup, pretty dresses and Golden Girl marathons!!)

Weekend Recap (The LATE Editon)...

So, I am almost done with my paper, just have to add some graphs and make some quick edits and POW….I will be done. I am so nervous about being done; I called the school yesterday to confirm I would be graduating…LOL!! The lady on the phone was probably thinking who is this panicked crazy person, but she was Awesome and calmed my nerves and assured me that I would be getting my degree after the completion of this class. So I want to give a “High-Five” to Meredith in the Graduate Studies Office, and a "Hig-Five" to everyone wishing me well on my journey...LOVE YOU GUYS!!

(For some reason this is what I imagined her looking like…LOL )

(See how calm I am now...)

Nothing too exciting about the weekend, since I was chained to my computer. We did do another late night food break at Denny’s, which I am now giving the title as the MOST GHETTO restaurant in my hood. OMC, this place was a HOT MESS, and it was not even 9:00. Our waitress looked like she had just escaped from the locals Woman’s prison.

(but I know that was not true, because they would have trained her to give much better service there) and our food was garbage.

After Friday I am free….free to eat good food again and do fun stuff. I am thinking as an early graduating gift I will be getting myself one of these :

Apple IPOD Touch

(Does anyone have any feedback on this little doo hickey?)

And taking myself here for a little crafty fun!!

The Renegade Craft Fair.

I am also trying to convince the BF for my graduation gift, to let me have his credit card and 10 minutes in Sephora. I would totally be like one of those contestants on Supermarket Sweep. (I loved that show!!)

I will be a little absent while finishing up things this week, but will be back before you can miss me!

Weekend Recap....

The BF and I went for dinner at Applebee’s on Friday (I am addicted to these Wonton Tacos they make….so GOOD!!!) We notice these guys are setting up for some live music, which was kind of weird, because um…were in Applebee’s. The music was not bad, it was kind of old school blues, but I totally felt like I was in the movie Roadhouse and I was just waiting for Patrick Swayze to whip around the corner in those tight jeans and do a karate kick at the waitress.

My vision of cheeseball was confirmed after my delicious Jell-O shot (and yes, we were still at Applebee’s)

I’ve been working off and on all weekend on my paper, and can’t not wait to be done, but took a very late study break for Hot Chocolate and Pancakes (midnight is when the best entertainment comes out...you know the hookers and crackheads...my type of party!!!)

No movies this weekend, but I am dying to see the remake of “Nightmare on Elm Street”. I don’t like scary movies like “Silence of the Lambs” (that movie gave me the heebie jeebies), but I can eat up some cheesy 80’s horror films. I mean the guy kills you in your dreams, it can’t get more unrealistic than that.

Now its Sunday and I am freezing (someone feels the need to have the A/C blasted to zero below) sitting in my coat and dreading getting up early for work in the morning. Oh Well, thats the sucky part of being a grown up...fo sho!!

PS. How do you like the bangs?
